Core Duties/Responsibilities

The role

 

Talented and motivated individual who has a passion for using insight and data to build highly effective and efficient email communication programmes.

 

Reporting into the Head of Email Marketing (with dotted line reporting to the account operational and business lead) you’ll be responsible for the delivery of email comms across multiple platforms with multiple stakeholders; so a focus on process and governance is a must.

 

Working closely with both client and internal stakeholders, you will own the campaign schedule, make recommendations to improve the campaigns and brief/mange the delivery teams to ensure the timely delivery and management.

 

You will be a subject matter expert and the go-to person for email to support campaign delivery with best practice tips and campaign insight.

 

This role will be based in London but will require travel to the client offices outside of London.

 

You’ll have 5 years+ experience in email marketing and email broadcast systems, and be as comfortable talking to data analysts as marketeers.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day to day production of newsletter, tactical and programmatic campaigns.
  • PM or delivery background with an understanding of workflow tools and delivering quality to tight deadlines.
  • Overall broadcast management of programmes and broadcast comms.
  • Managing content updates and campaign requests.
  • Consulting on best-practice guidelines.
  • Creating and reviewing segmentation and campaign insight.
  • Dynamic rules creation.
  • Data management.
  • Face to face client meetings.
  • API Trigger updates (Management not technical).
  • Campaign QA.
  • Process management.
  • Management and updates of process documentation.

 

Capabilities - Mandatory

  • Significant experience in delivering large volume, multi-segment, highly personalised email campaigns.
  • Self starter with excellent time management skills.
  • Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders across different business groups.
  • Happy to work with any number of email service providers e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, Responsys etc.
  • Experience in using Content Management Systems to deliver dynamic emails.
  • Superb organisation and project management skills that allow for multiple campaigns from multiple clients managed simultaneously.
  • Competent (and confident) in the manipulation of data and data files in order to deliver highly targeted and dynamic communications.
  • An eye for effective and responsive email creative – have an opinion and the ability to influence others with it.
  • Understanding of Relational data structures.
  • Understanding of API interfaces.
  • Understanding of dynamic content script essential.
  • Understanding of data feeds both in to and out of eCRM tools.
  • Understanding of HTML.
  • Knowledge of dynamic scripting logic.
  • Understanding of data segmentation logic and rules.
  • Ability to question and evaluate production outputs.

  • Knowledge of Tableau and other reporting providers.
