Core Duties/Responsibilities

As part of the Data Tech team you’ll apply the latest technologies to a wide variety of projects that always aim to push back boundaries and exceed the demands of our global clients. You’ll be involved in architecting and building scalable solutions, using technology and data in innovative ways managing work through the business.



Purpose of Role

Reporting to the head of data tech, your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Building Alteryx workflows to generate data for email campaigns for a high profile FTSE index 100 company.
  • Understand technical problems; design, code and manage the solutions
  • Work with other teams within the company, such as Data Planning, Analytics, Client Services, Project Management and QA departments, to provide technical insight and develop realistic solutions


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain database systems and application software
  • Perform system design functions, produce system specifications and system documentation
  • Determine design criteria for software to meet requirements, as specified in Business Requirements document
  • Assess feasibility of change requests and provide pragmatic solutions and timing estimates
  • Provide technical support to other programming staff in the area of program design, coding, testing and documenting
  • Review program specifications and recommend alternatives
  • Identify problems and formulate solutions for database systems and application software
  • Work with Project Management to ensure Campaign Management implementation process is robust.
  • Ensure live Campaigns run correctly within quality parameters


Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Impala SQL
  • Control software – Source Safe, Subversion, GIT, TFS
  • Alteryx certified professional
  • Powershell

  • Experience working with teams in multiple locations (i.e. offshore team members)
  • Experience of working with detailed data / complex Marketing campaigns.
