Core Duties/Responsibilities

Position: Media Supervisor

Location: New York

Intro: MRM//McCann Media is looking to add talent to our quickly growing media team. The selected candidate will be dedicated to a fantastic client; for whom we push the limits of data, tech and creativity in B2B marketing.

Our media team members collaborate with account services, strategy, creative and data & analytics teams on a daily basis and gain exposure to a wide variety of marketing programs, regardless of account assignment, due to a well-established “sharing” culture. We offer an exciting opportunity to learn about marketing across sectors, geographies (global clients) and types of programs (awareness, engagement, conversion-driving), while increasing depth of experience in key focus areas.

This new team member’s focus will be B2B planning, buying and management. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Support the Media Director in the development of engagement planning strategies
  • Evaluate and select media tactics and partners
  • Thoroughly vet potential partners and develop media opportunities
  • Apply benchmarks, project contributions to client goals and set pricing thresholds
  • Review performance reports, extract insights and recommend optimizations
  • Keep finger on the pulse of B2B-related marketing trends, tactics and emerging opportunities
  • Read industry trades and share relevant content with others
  • Continuously and proactively provide suggestions as to how we might increase contributions to our client’s objectives; ranging from tried & true (elsewhere) to unexpected & promising
  • Mentor a bright and ambitious Assistant Media Planner who will provide support for all of the above

 

 

Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience

Requirements:

  • Experience: 4+ years digital media planning and buying
  • Traits: Ambitious, inquisitive, persistent, thorough, detailed, creative, collaborative
  • Skills:
      • Exceptional verbal/written communication
      • Data analysis & extraction of meaningful insights
      • Ability to understand and explain technical subject matter to others
      • Attention to detail
  • Tools/software:
      • Ad management platforms (DoubleClick or other)
      • Excel, PPT, Word, et al.

Strongly desired experience:

  • Strategies and tactics used to engage target organizations and the stakeholders within them:
    • Account-based marketing
    • DSPs/Programmatic buying
    • Content marketing
    • Retargeting
  • Dynamic creative implementation (DRM/DCLK Studio)
  • Solutions providers: Cross-device identity, viewability, ad fraud, brand safety
