Core Duties/Responsibilities

The role of a Performance and Analytics Cross Functional Analyst involves many different responsibilities.  The analyst will be responsible for supporting multiple analytic projects across different functional areas.  The ideal candidate must be able to proactively communicate ideas and opportunities, be comfortable with providing analysis and insights, as well as help drive the day to day analytics business from an operations perspective.  They may also be responsible for developing measurement plans, overseeing the implementation process as well as executing data quality assurance based on rigorous protocols and have strong project management skills.  This web-savvy analyst must be technically minded, highly analytical, detail-oriented, and have a passion for generating actionable business insights from data.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Work with teams in multiple geographic locations to ensure operation best practices are being followed
  • Help lead the documentation and implementation of standard operating procedures for work streams identified as candidates for shared service support
  • Help develop measurement plans and execute analysis based on requirements within the plan
  • Ensure the delivery of clear, concise and accurate measurement documentation for development and analytic use.
  • Ability to turn data into insightful findings and business recommendations for both website and email programs
  • Drive process improvement and quality control for key deliverables
  • Proactively identifies issues and escalates them when necessary
  • Quickly identify/report and resolve any tagging/implementation issues (internally or externally reported).
  • Confirm data integrity and perform analyses to identify trends
  • Ability to independently complete ad-hoc analysis, summarizing results, and identify actionable insights
  • Ability to independently identify opportunities for analysis
  • Prioritize own tasks and workload with minimal supervision
  • Works effectively with partners and/or other suppliers to deliver overall solutions to clients
  • Understanding of marketing principles and how to leverage data to make decisions
  • Demonstrates ability to identify potential pitfalls that may lead to specific project issues or data/implementation concerns
  • Identifies areas of opportunity for the team to improve quality and drive efficiencies
  • Effectively communicate status of projects both verbally and in writing to management
  • Effectively communicate roadblocks, and identify ways to mitigate risks, escalating at-risk projects to management

Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience

Education and Experience:

 

  • Working knowledge of web site analytic platforms including Adobe Marking Cloud products (Site Catalyst, Ad-Hoc Analysis), Google Analytics and Tableau 8 a plus
  • Previous analytic, implementation or QA experience leading projects desired, preferably in a Marketing environment.
  • Self-starter with analytic experience in an Agency or Marketing environment a plus
  • Experience in Digital Analytics (Web, Online Advertising, Search, Social)
  • Must demonstrate strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of identifying significance
  • Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Pride in work product with high accountability, initiative, and thought leadership
  • Must be able to handle multiple clients and projects simultaneously
  • Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, or Marketing preferred
  • Highly accountable self-starter with the ability to work well within a group, as well as independently
  • Demonstrated ability to appropriately delegate responsibility and authority as needed
  • Highly accountable self-starter with the ability to work well within a group, as well as independently
  • Drives relationships with partners and/or suppliers to deliver an overall solution to the client so curiosity for the big picture is key
  • Knowledge of analytic tag debugging software (httpfox, Observe point, Charles) and/ or web developer tools preferred.
  • Highly self-motivated, professional with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment with minimal supervision
