Core Duties/Responsibilities

 

 

As a key member of the Global Growth Team, this role will have direct interaction with key executive leaders at MRM//McCann. The New Business Supervisor will support the EVP, Chief Marketing Officer and global team.

Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience

Responsibilities:

  • Play a significant leadership role in the development on all RFPs, with direction from the Director of Business
  • Development, and support from the Business Development staff
  • Manage a new business pitch budget and resources with no surprises
  • Lead presentation and pitch teams in an effective and efficient manner
  • Lead a process that drives teams to strong, strategic presentations
  • Assist the Director of Business Development in the development of a revenue growth strategy, with emphasis on new clients
  • Identify specific clients/ brands that meet the criteria of that strategy, subject to approval of the SVP of New Business, the New York MD and the NY Ops Team
  • Develops and maintains prospect database
  • Assist the Director of Business Development with proactive outreach efforts to attract those clients to the agency, with oversight from Director of Business Development
  • Researches, analyzes and monitors industry trends to capitalize on market/new business opportunities
  • Bring creativity and inspiration to the team
  • Maintain highest quality pitch standards in concert with Business Development Director
  • Be the go‐to person on all things New York and Princeton new business
  • Be the key liaison between various departments in the agency, including production, technology, performance, strategy and creative

 

Job Requirements:

  • Four to six years of relevant experience
  • BA in marketing or business
  • Fearlessness, empathy, flexibility and perseverance in interacting with senior and junior agency executives who are looking for new business support and leadership.
  • High Emotional Intelligence, evident from the individual’s interactions with the New Business team as well as the broader agency that demonstrates maturity, openness, empathy, determination, a drive to succeed, and balance in life   
  • Proven ability to lead team efforts
  • Must have client‐facing experience
  • Experience working within a New Business agency pitch environment
  • Strong writing abilities and deep knowledge of digital and integrated marketing fundamentals
  • Strong research and analytical capabilities
  • Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator skills a plus, but not required
