Job Title: Director of Strategy, CX


About this role: The Director of Strategy, CX is responsible for assisting in setting the long-range strategic vision for large and small brands. He/she is responsible for bringing a level of thinking beyond the business and beyond the brand.  Must have the knowledge to discover the brand challenge and source the right set of skills to solve it. Must be able to analyze the brand holistically from a planning, behavioral and data perspective. 

The Director of Strategy upholds the Agency’s core beliefs and is responsible for delivering the best in class work. Must be collaborative, passionate, creative and support diversity and inclusion efforts


  • Positively impact the creative product through sharp insights and inspiration


  • Helps team to achieve long range and short-term goals
  • Partners with other Agency disciplines to ensure consumer insight is incorporated into marketing platforms
  • Seeks out and gains knowledge of consumer preferences and relationships to products and marketing
  • Participates in creation of effective marketing campaigns
  • Applies understanding of consumers’ relationship with the brand and marketing in the category to the development of brand strategy and creative
  • Provides insight and expertise to other staff in managing all aspects of strategy: qualitative, quantitative, behavioral and planning
  • Manage career development of team of direct reports.
  • Sells strategy and creative executions by communicating consumer knowledge to clients
  • Assists in ensuring the quality of the creative brief and briefing process
  • Builds positive relationships with clients
  • Provides insight to clients regarding how consumer preference information will enhance creative campaigns
  • Direct research and advanced strategy tactics: digital experience, CRM, semiotics and ethnography
  • Assists in the development, reporting and analysis of client-specific web performance programs including recommendations for construction, KPI’s, measurement resources, cadence and client recommendations.
  • Lead and participates in new business
  • And any other tasks as assigned 


Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience


  • Bachelors degree in related field required
  • Post-graduate degree in related field preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of research skills required
  • Experience communicating information verbally and in writing required Client-side and/or agency-side designing and managing a multi-channel, multi-target marketing mix
  • Experience communicating information verbally and in writing required
  • Ten years related experience with five to seven years supervisory and management experience required
