Core Duties/Responsibilities

Job Title: VP Director of Analytics


The VP Director of Analytics is responsible for developing data driven strategic recommendations pertinent to media planning, buying and optimization. This role will require extensive knowledge of DMPs, DSPs and cross device marketing platforms typically used to string disparate data sets together, with the end goal of providing one comprehensive 360 degree view of the customer. The VP Director of Analytics will be responsible for developing innovative data driven targeting strategies based on both their knowledge of media platforms and advanced analytical techniques/ AI that can be leveraged across these platforms. This is a hands on role where the individual will be responsible for accurate analyses and advanced analytics modeling work. The VP Director of Analytics is also responsible for developing and cultivating relationships with key team members across the agency such as the technology, strategy, creative and account management teams.  


In addition, this is a highly client facing role, with a strong expectation that this individual will also contribute heavily to new business develop and the pitching process. The VP Director of Analytics will be responsible for the growth and development of junior team members, who will report to him/him on a project and/or account level basis. This individual will report directly into the SVP of Performance.




  • Become the in-house expert on media platforms and all data relevant to optimizing media performance
  • Collect, store, and process both digital and offline data for analytic purposes
  • Design and implement custom analysis on a project-by-project basis
  • Develop Business Intelligence presentations/charts for senior clients
  • Perform hands-on analysis to proactively provide in depth insights, trending, behaviors and relationships across all channels to help support the Client
  • Must be able to identify issues with the data and problem solve
  • Serve as project and support lead on multiple projects
  • Develop clear analytic strategies/actionable next steps


Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of paid media analytics, methodologies and platforms.
  • Strong analytical foundation with expert hands on knowledge of advanced statistical techniques
  • Tag management systems, ad serving platforms (both doubleclick and atlas preferred)
  • Background in digital analytics such as Google Analytics and Site Catalyst
  • Intermediate to Expert Knowledge of a leading BI platform such as Tableau or MSFT Power BI
  • Ability to translate findings/results into clear, actionable and executable insights
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills; strong business development skills a plus 


Required Experience


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Economics, Computer or a quantitative degree in another social science; Master’s degree a plus
  • 8-10+ years of experience in data analysis, media platforms, technology and/or BI
  • Deep experience working with DSPs, DMPs and cross-device platforms (such as drawbridge)
  • Deep expertise in model building and/or AI
  • Agency background preferred, candidates with media or direct marketing background encouraged to apply
  • R experience required
  • Experience with one or more of the following:
