Core Duties/Responsibilities

 

Primary Responsibilities

    • Conducts thorough analysis and evaluation of applicable paid advertising channels using vendor provided information as well as market research to select media partners that will fulfill on the defined strategy
    • Effectively presents recommendations to client with ability to provide strong rationale
    • Executes and maintains day-to-day paid advertising activities including: vendor selection and rationale, schedule ownership and flowchart maintenance, budget analysis/contract status, rate/ positioning/merchandising negotiations, lead analysis and post-buy reporting.
    • Supervise/train associate planners and accept responsibility for the accuracy and timeliness of all deliverables: screen shot decks, weekly/monthly tracking & analysis, invoicing and billing, etc.
    • Assists, trains, and oversees associate engagement planners in day to day campaign management from insertion order maintenance, client invoicing and billing discrepancies/reconciliation. Supports on tracking to ensure consistency with the overall media strategy and plan details. Works through analysis and optimization recommendations.
    • Manages paid advertising billings and client invoices.
    • Determine and negotiate the best value across the paid advertising plan at large. Ensuring efficiencies, worthwhile value ad as it relates to the campaign goals.
    • Lead discussions with account team in coordinating projects and maintain close communication with all members of assigned account, strategy, and project management & inter department paid advertising teams.
    • Maintain strong relationships with paid advertising representatives to keep abreast of new opportunities and industry trends

 

Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience

Education and Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3+ years of experience in Advertising; preferably within an Agency setting on a Media team
  • Strong excel experience required; (pivot tables, comfortable managing large amounts of data, chart creation). Microsoft Office familiarity (Word, PowerPoint & Outlook)
  • Solid mathematical, data and analytical abilities
  • Proven attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal required to create professional communications and presentations
  • Experience in digital media planning and buying including digital banners, content distribution, lead generation, custom programs and programmatic buying.
