Core Duties/Responsibilities

MRM//McCann is looking for a Content Copywriter.  

As a key member of the agency’s content marketing program, the writer will be responsible for content creation, from conception to production. The ideal candidate knows how to transform a one-page brief into a creative piece that resonates with our client’s audience and achieves business goals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Researching, writing, and editing articles, white papers, banner ads, and emails.
  • Proactively reviewing content at every stage of the creative process, recommending improvements to user interface copy, calls to action, and site design.
  • Pitching and producing multimedia content—videos and larger digital experiences—that follow industry best practices.
  • Working closely with internal clients, account managers, art directors, user experience designers, and developers to create best-in-class work.
  • Contributing to seasonal campaigns when necessary.

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent writing and editorial skills. A strong grasp of grammar, punctuation, style, and copyediting rules.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in content marketing, copywriting, journalism, or a similar field.
  • Project management skills. Strong problem solving skills and the ability to prioritize, coordinate, and execute multiple tasks.
  • Strong relationship management skills. The writer will be interfacing with internal clients and creative staff to ensure high quality work.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint and Excel.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
