Core Duties/Responsibilities




MRM’s regional media team based in Hong Kong is growing quickly and looking to hire an Associate Director to help manage key accounts. Performance and Technology are our key strengths - being able to utilize data, digital analytics and the latest advertising technology to deliver results for our clients. Our goal is to identify the right person to grow along with us; as well as relevant experience, someone who is motivated, analytical, curious and fun!


This role will be a core position within the team, supporting the Media Services Director & Managing Director in new business development, client servicing, and management of account teams.


All candidates must have a minimum of 4 years’ experience across multiple markets with knowledge of all core digital channels across paid, owned and earned media. We are particularly interested in those with deep experience in paid media channels including Search, Display, and Programmatic.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Account Management

  • Develops and manages paid media digital strategies for current and prospective clients
  • Work with team members to increase the efficiency, accuracy and quality of daily campaign management to meet KPIs
  • Entrepreneurial, objective and independent thinker – must be proactive with management of campaigns
  • Updates senior management on client opportunities, potential risks and other nuances which affect the health of the business

Client Leadership

  • Foster relationships with clients and act as key client contact; be attentive, responsive, share knowledge / insights, drive results and build trust
  • Develops a complete understanding of each client’s goals, markets, needs and expectations
  • Attends client meetings, interface as needed with executive level and middle management level on client side during meetings and presentations
  • Communicates and implements an account planning process for all accounts
  • Connect with key local and regional vendors across all channels and tool/technology developers to develop unique opportunities for our clients
  • Independently leads performance and strategy presentations

Team Leadership & Development

  • Embraces and encourages a culture-based on teamwork, collaboration, and intellectual curiosity
  • Motivates, leads, and manages internal teams, working collaboratively to drive programs that meet our clients’ business objectives
  • Drives adoption of stated account management best practices through example setting, positive reinforcement and behavioral correction
  • Assists in interviewing, hiring, training, mentoring, developing, and evaluating team members
  • Conducts performance reviews and career development plans for direct reports

Process Improvement

  • Facilitates the development and documentation of best practices for improving operational efficiencies within the team


  • Understands and explains the features and benefits of all MRM products and services
  • Cross sells products and services to grow MRM’s engagement with clients

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4+ years’ hands-on media planning and media strategy development experience. Candidates with less experience will be considered for Senior Account Manager.
  • In-depth knowledge with 3rd Party Ad Tracking and campaign monitoring tools, particularly DCM, DBM, DoubleClick Search, AdWords, Facebook Ads
  • Experience in APAC media landscape
  • Previous site-side analytics experience is desired (e.g. Google Analytics, Omniture)
  • Attention to detail and advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong presentation skills and exceptional client facing experience
  • Strong English speaking and writing ability; Comfortable presenting in English
  • Fluency in Chinese and other APAC languages desired
  • Analytical-thinker who can translate results into actions that best suit the client’s needs
  • Offline media planning experience is a plus, but not pivotal in this role
  • Avid reader of trade publications, must demonstrate knowledge of developments in the industry

Bachelor’s degree, concentration in business, marketing, or advertising preferred
